Hastings is a Partner of the Firm with over 16 years’ experience in good standing at the Zambian bar. He is an Advocate of the Superior Courts for Zambia, a member of the Law Association of Zambia, Chartered Institute of Arbitration and accredited Insolvency Practitioner. Hastings acquired his law practice certificate from the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education and holds a Law Degree from the University of Zambia.
Hastings served as legal counsel at one of Zambia’s biggest mines, overseeing litigation, arbitration, and mediation in both employment and commercial matters. He also has vast experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and provided corporate advisory services. Prior to founding Mando & Pasi Advocates, Hastings honed his dispute resolution skills as an associate advocate at Corpus Legal Practitioners. There, he represented a diverse range of corporate clients, ranging from mining companies to financial institutions alike.
Hastings was also part of a team that successfully restructured a named company culminating in its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange by way of an IPO resulting into raising of millions of dollars. As a founding partner of Mando & Pasi Advocates, Hastings has overseen the firm’s remarkable growth, transforming it from a startup to a fully-fledged partnership with offices in Kitwe, Lusaka and Solwezi.
